Although I graduated with a (BSEE) degree in electrical engineering, training is my first love. I keep up to date with strength, health, diet and nutrition related topics more than anything else. I love helping others achieve their fitness goals, whether it be specific emphasis on the strength aspects, weight loss, or general health. I have made a lot of mistakes along the way and I like to be able to help others avoid pitfalls that I have fallen into.

After watching Daniel train other clients, I decided to hire him when I made the switch from bodybuilding to powerlifting. His attention to detail and desire to see his clients succeed is what impressed me. He watches everything closely and makes adjustments throughout the program. My experience had been with bodybuilding coaches that provided a program that was cookie cutter and never made adjustments. This has been a refreshing experience and I wish I had made the switch much earlier.
As an update I competed in my first meet on October 28, 2017. Thanks to Daniel's coaching I was able to add 106 pounds over a 5 month period to my total. This was starting with gym lifts not meet lifts so amount was likely even greater. In my first APF meet I was able to set all of the national records for my age and weight group 53/165. Going into the meet Daniel helped me with cutting weight, rehydrating/refeeding and day of the meet with attempt selection. His attention to detail and ability to instill confidence in my lifts was incredible.
I was very impressed with Daniel Tinajero and decided to hire him as my coach. Daniel is a genuinely great person who has your best interest at heart and in mind. First and foremost, he always has his client’s health as the number one priority at all times. His desire is to help his clients reach or achieve their goals in a healthy manner. What started out as a coach/client relationship has developed into a great friendship.
Since I’ve been working with Daniel, I have broken 11 National Records and 5 World Records in Powerlifting. He works intensely with me in a variety of areas, ranging from: diet, supplements, warmups, stretching, workouts, form, technique and how to properly cut weight for meets. Daniel’s knowledge and experience gives him the ability to analyze my lifts, correct my form and identify areas of weakness that need to be isolated and improved. I have also found that Daniel provides quick and efficient feedback concerning any questions a client may have. Although I’ve yet to reach my full potential, with the knowledge I’ve gained from him, I am most certainly on my way.
I am a medically retired combat veteran diagnosed with both Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and a Traumatic Brain Injury. As a result of my injuries and illness, I have difficulty in the areas of comprehension and understanding. However, Daniel’s teaching, patience, diligence and determination has had a direct impact on my success and achievement of goals.
Throughout my experience with Daniel, he advised and cautioned me on issues pertaining to several incidents I encountered. After considering his advice on these issues, I chose to follow my own path. Each time, his advice and recommendations turned out to be completely accurate. If you are a Powerlifter, Bodybuilder, or an individual that desires to improve your overall health and are serious about reaching your fullest potential, then I highly recommend you hire Daniel Tinajero to be your coach.
Daniel trained me while I was preparing for my first full powerlifting competition. Taught me how to squat low bar and how to deadlift sumo properly along with many other things. The great part about him is that he not only shows you or tells you how to do things but explains how it all works so you end up learning so much when you train with him. Training with him is probably the best thing I've ever done that helped push me the furthest into powerlifting and learning how to get better. One of the most knowledgeable people I know when it comes to working out and fitness.
I had the good fortune to meet Daniel Tinajero after receiving a 10:00 PM call to assist another lifter from our FL APF State Chair. It turned out the lifter was a client of Daniel’s, who went on the following day to set 4 WPC World Records. I really had no Idea who Daniel was at the time, but he did end up helping me that day as well. I went home from that meet to learn that Daniel was/is a very accomplished powerlifter, so I reached out to him to ask if he did any kind of online programming.
When I hired Daniel, I wasn’t quite prepared for the level of communication and involvement that he maintains with his clients. He is not only a teacher, but a true and very insightful student of the sport. It didn’t take long to come to the realization that he wasn’t asking so many questions just to be able to program numbers. He truly needed to understand the function of the problem. He has already helped me work around a couple of injuries, and keep going.
After 6 weeks of him challenging me in ways I wasn’t seeking to be challenged, in order to increase my work capacity, I traveled to meet with him in order for him to assess my mechanics for the Big 3 Lifts. After a few adjustments and 1 major change to the squat, I am a different lifter. Every week I dreaded the squat; now I can’t wait to squat. That day has changed the way I approach powerlifting completely. All of a sudden, powerlifting is fun again. Not easy…, but fun.
Currently, Daniel is also programming my wife, with a different focus for the time-being. He legitimately enjoys understanding a person’s goals then helping them achieve their training goals. If you are serious about training, I could not recommend Daniel highly enough!!!

At 51 years old, I thought I competed in everything! Everything except Powerlifting. I knew Daniel Tinajero and I always followed him because of all his accomplishments and how crazy strong he was. I decided to have him as my online coach since we didn't live in the same city. He wrote me up an extensive day to day program and I paid easily for his services through PayPal. I knew I would get a great program from Daniel, but what I wasn't expecting was the "live" help and critiques he would give me! Amazing. When I was in the gym, I could facebook message him a video of a lift and he would instantly get right back to me and tell me what I needed to fix and what was good!! When my meet came closer and I was getting nervous, I drive an hour a few times for him to train me in person. Totally helped me! I wasn't expecting Daniel to show up at my meet and stay the entire time, chalking my back and rooting me on, but he did. He was by my side the entire time! Class A coach! I ended up winning and breaking all records nationally in my weight and age group! I could never have done it without my coach!

Working with Daniel over the past year or so has been a positive experience in a variety of different aspects; I have not only increased my knowledge base by incessantly picking his brain, I have also increased my strength in all three major lifts--after spinning my wheels throughout a three year long plateau. Perhaps most importantly though, I have had the opportunity to work with a genuine person throughout the process.
In preparation for my first powerlifting competition in over six years, Daniel was able to help me learn how to move significantly heavier weights by making slight adjustments to my form. Additionally, Daniel helped me to achieve a 10 pound (6% total bodyweight) weight cut leading up to the competition, without sapping my energy or hindering my performance—in fact I was able to set PR’s in all three major lifts on meet day.
Daniel is always prompt with responses to questions about form or program details despite his own busy schedule. All of the approaches Daniel takes with training and nutrition are supported by scientific research, so there is never a question whether he is giving good advice.
Simply put, Daniel is the best possible value for the money. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat because he always goes the extra mile and exceeds expectations. Daniel will get you as strong as possible, while doing all he can to keep you injury-free. I have never seen better results than I have while working with Daniel; also, I have never stayed healthy as consistently as I have over the past year.

I have been training with Dan almost 10 weeks now and so far, I couldn’t be more thankful to have him as my coach. I have been powerlifting for about 7 years now and within those 7 years, I have had 4 different individuals program me for powerlifting meets. Without reproach, I can say that Dan is the most attentive coach I have had thus far and does an outstanding job of communicating with me. I do not require a lot of attention and I may have a few questions and or concerns from time to time and Dan is very swift to respond. I read an article a few years ago about coaching on T-Nation, “Online Trainers: How to Spot the Good Ones”. Without going into too much detail I can say that Dan covers all of the criteria on what makes a good online coach. This is not a crack at anyone else who has programmed me, this is primarily my beliefs on how my experience has gone so far with Dan. Dan does a great job with instruction on movements, this can be a primary movement, compound, and even isolation movement. In addition, he will utilize my training videos for analysis on form/technique and make adjustments if need be, again a trait of a good online coach. Lastly, and more importantly is training education. Since I have worked with Dan, I have learned many movements that have aided in my training not only to make me stronger but to keep me mobile and flexible. He will explain why a certain movement is significant in my program and how it will benefit me in the long run. Furthermore, I am looking to continue my training with Dan after this meet and onward to the Olympia in 2018.

If you're wanting to push your limits and reach your maximum potential, then Daniel Tinajero can get you there. I follow his 16 week cycle and I have never been more challenged, physically and mentally, than any other program. And my numbers can back it. With his training cycle and watchful eye, he has increased my total by 150 lbs in just one meet. And he's also a 4x USPA Mr. Olympia, you couldn't ask for someone with more expertise.
